The Bureau of Indian Affairs-Western Regional Office requires a contractor to remediate PCB impacts to soil and concrete underlying an active transformer pad at the Mammoth 2 Substation, which is owned and maintained by the Bureau of Indian Affairs' San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP). The Substation is located in Pinal County, Arizona. Work includes preparation of a project workplan, removal of the concrete slab after temporary removal of the transformer and removal of the soil underneath the concrete pad to a depth of 24 inches below ground surface, verification by a certified State of Arizona that laboratory that soils were cleaned up to the EPA RSL industrial cleanup level of 1 ppm, site preparation activities, and disposal of PCB-contaminated soil in accordance with the requirements in 40 C.F.R. ยง 761.61(a)(5). At the conclusion of the remedial excavation, a closure report documenting the removal and disposal of the PCB-contaminated concrete and soil shall be prepared. NAICS: 562910. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR MARKETING RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks to identify firms, with a focus on Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, capable of performing asbestos, mold, and lead abatement work at the Veterans Affairs Butler Healthcare facility in Butler, Pennsylvania. All work under this anticipated future procurement shall be performed by state-licensed abatement contractors using Environmental Protection Agency-accredited, state-certified, or state-licensed workers and supervisors. Contractor and employee training and certifications shall be commensurate with work performed and with requirements for licensing. All asbestos disposal facilities performing under this contract shall at all times possess the applicable Federal, State, and Local regulatory approvals, and each asbestos disposal facility shall be approved in advance in writing by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The contractor shall perform the necessary planning, documentation, permitting, removal, monitoring, inspection, testing, disposal, and other support services to ensure that VA patients, employees, and visitors will not be adversely affected by asbestos, mold, and lead abatement work. NAICS: 541620. WHEN THIS SOLICITATION IS RELEASED, IT WILL BE COMPETED AS A FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 5, plans to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to fulfill upcoming Superfund Technical Assessment Response Team (START) requirements. The purpose of the Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contract is to provide nationally consistent technical assistance services to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) On-Scene Coordinators (OSCs) and other federal officials implementing EPA's responsibilities under the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP). Additionally, the contractor provides technical assistance services to other programs including site assessment and the brownfields program, and remedial support activities.
